Les consommateurs et les membres du Parlement europ\u00e9en exhortent l&#039;Union europ\u00e9enne (UE) \u00e0 agir et \u00e0 suivre la strat\u00e9gie r\u00e9ussie de lutte contre le tabagisme de la Su\u00e8de. L&#039;UE n&#039;a jusqu&#039;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre une approche efficace pour lutter contre le tabagisme, tandis que la Su\u00e8de, le seul pays au monde sur le point de devenir un pays sans fum\u00e9e, attire \u00e9norm\u00e9ment l&#039;attention pour ses r\u00e9alisations remarquables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019UE, comme de nombreux autres pays dans le monde, poursuit une strat\u00e9gie contre-productive pour lutter contre l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9mie de tabagisme. Son approche a consist\u00e9 \u00e0 faire para\u00eetre les produits alternatifs aussi nocifs que le tabac, en en restreignant l&#039;acc\u00e8s et en augmentant les taxes pour les rendre plus chers et d\u00e9courager leur consommation. Et cette strat\u00e9gie donne des r\u00e9sultats plut\u00f4t d\u00e9cevants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 tous les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par les institutions europ\u00e9ennes, le taux de tabagisme global dans l&#039;UE s&#039;\u00e9l\u00e8ve toujours \u00e0 251 TP4T et environ 700 000 personnes meurent chaque ann\u00e9e \u00e0 cause de maladies li\u00e9es au tabagisme. Mais plut\u00f4t que de changer d\u2019approche, l\u2019UE envisage d\u2019intensifier sa r\u00e9pression contre les produits alternatifs \u00e0 la nicotine, notamment en augmentant les taxes sur le vapotage et en interdisant les ar\u00f4mes.&nbsp;<strong>De plus, l&#039;id\u00e9e de l\u00e9galiser le snus reste absente, m\u00eame si le seul pays exempt\u00e9 de l&#039;interdiction, la Su\u00e8de, est celui qui r\u00e9ussit le mieux \u00e0 lutter contre le tabagisme gr\u00e2ce au passage des fumeurs du tabac \u00e0 cette alternative moins nocive.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Fin 2022, le taux de tabagisme quotidien en Su\u00e8de n&#039;\u00e9tait que de 5,61 TP4T, de loin le plus bas de l&#039;UE, et le pays scandinave devrait atteindre l&#039;objectif d&#039;interdiction de fumer inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 51 TP4T \u00e0 la fin de l&#039;ann\u00e9e.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Julia Kril, Alliance mondiale des vapoteurs<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais pourquoi la strat\u00e9gie europ\u00e9enne \u00e9choue-t-elle ? Parce que son approche restrictive des produits de r\u00e9duction des m\u00e9faits du tabac ne donne aux fumeurs que deux options : l\u2019abstinence totale ou le tabagisme. Si l\u2019abstinence totale peut \u00eatre l\u2019objectif id\u00e9al pour beaucoup, elle est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s irr\u00e9aliste. La demande de consommation de nicotine est \u00e9vidente, comme le d\u00e9montrent des millions de fumeurs dans le monde. Des produits comme le snus, le vapotage et les sachets de nicotine s\u00e9parent efficacement les composants les plus nocifs du tabagisme de la consommation de nicotine. Bien qu\u2019elles ne soient pas totalement sans risque, ces alternatives offrent une mani\u00e8re de consommer de la nicotine beaucoup moins nocive que le tabagisme.
