Berlin. En stad som k\u00e4nner till murar, och vad det inneb\u00e4r att riva ner dem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Den h\u00e4r veckan tog vi hit Protect Pouches European Tour, med v\u00e5r kaffejetpack, kanelbullar och ett enkelt budskap: bygg inte nya murar mellan m\u00e4nniskor och de val som r\u00e4ddar deras liv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kaffe, kanelbullar och samtal<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
Mitt i hj\u00e4rtat av Berlin blev v\u00e5r kaffecykel en magnet. Folk stannade f\u00f6r kaffe, tog kanelbullar och, viktigast av allt, delade sina ber\u00e4ttelser. R\u00f6kare som hade slutat. V\u00e4nner som inte l\u00e4ngre andas passiv r\u00f6kning. Familjer som inte l\u00e4ngre oroar sig f\u00f6r lukten av cigaretter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Varje signerat vykort var ett budskap till lagstiftarna: f\u00f6rv\u00e4xla inte p\u00e5sar med cigaretter, f\u00f6rbjud inte det som fungerar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bryssel vill ha barri\u00e4rer. Berlinarna vill ha h\u00e4lsa.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
Medan berlinborna pratade med oss om att bli av med cigaretter, \u00e4r Bryssel upptagna med att utarbeta en plan f\u00f6r hj\u00e4rt-k\u00e4rlh\u00e4lsa som otroligt nog skulle kunna klassificera cigaretter som "riskfaktorer". <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Det \u00e4r som att f\u00f6rbjuda s\u00e4kerhetsb\u00e4lten f\u00f6r att de p\u00e5minner om bilolyckor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vetenskapen \u00e4r tydlig:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u00e5sar \u00e4r r\u00f6kfria, tobaksfria och mycket mindre skadliga \u00e4n cigaretter. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
Sveriges modell bevisar det: den l\u00e4gsta r\u00f6kningssiffran i Europa (5,6%), 44% f\u00e4rre tobaksd\u00f6dsfall och de l\u00e4gsta lungcancersiffrorna i EU. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
Och ja, l\u00e4gre hj\u00e4rtsjukdomar och strokefrekvenser \u00e4n deras grannar. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Om resten av Europa f\u00f6ljde Sveriges exempel skulle 3,5 miljoner liv kunna r\u00e4ddas under det kommande decenniet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tyskland vid ett v\u00e4gsk\u00e4l<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
H\u00e4r i Tyskland befinner sig p\u00e5sar i en juridisk gr\u00e5zon:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00f6rs\u00e4ljning \u00e4r f\u00f6rbjuden, men \u00f6ver 1,4 miljoner m\u00e4nniskor anv\u00e4nder dem redan. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
Det inneb\u00e4r okontrollerad import, inga kvalitetsstandarder och missade m\u00f6jligheter f\u00f6r b\u00e5de r\u00f6kares h\u00e4lsa och framtida icke-r\u00f6kare. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Tyskland beh\u00f6ver inte f\u00f6rvirring eller f\u00f6rbud. Det beh\u00f6ver tydliga regler<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laglig f\u00f6rs\u00e4ljning i butiker, inte p\u00e5 svarta marknaden. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
Smaker och r\u00e4ttvis konsumenttillg\u00e5ng skyddas. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Berlinborna sa samma sak till oss \u00f6ver kaffe och bulle: de vill ha valm\u00f6jligheter, trygghet och en verklig chans att sluta r\u00f6ka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Den enda v\u00e4ggen som spelar roll<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
N\u00e4r man st\u00e5r i Berlin kan man inte l\u00e5ta bli att minnas hur splittring ser ut. M\u00e4nniskor p\u00e5 ena sidan muren, f\u00e5ngade. M\u00e4nniskor p\u00e5 den andra, fria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Europa st\u00e5r nu inf\u00f6r valet: att h\u00e5lla r\u00f6kare f\u00e5ngade i oh\u00e4lsosamma vanor, eller att riva ner muren och l\u00e5ta vuxna v\u00e4lja betydligt s\u00e4krare alternativ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
V\u00e5rt budskap fr\u00e5n Berlin<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
Fr\u00e5n Paris till Berlin \u00e4r budskapet detsamma:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u00e5t vuxna v\u00e4lja ett b\u00e4ttre s\u00e4tt att sluta r\u00f6ka.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
L\u00e5t oss sluta realistiskt och leva h\u00e4lsosammare liv.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
F\u00f6rbjud och \u00f6verskatta inte p\u00e5sar som cigaretter. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Berlin visade oss att folk f\u00f6rst\u00e5r skademinskning. Nu \u00e4r det Bryssels tur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Skydda p\u00e5sar. Skydda v\u00e5ra val. Skydda v\u00e5ra liv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
